The story behind the watch: GUB Glashütte Lange & Söhne Brothers caliber 28.1. The only Lange wristwatch caliber made prior to The Division of Germany and its name was Q1 alias A1 movement. There were two version of it 28 has sub-second and 28.1 has central second. Lange brand was handed over to the DDR (Soviet administration) in 1948 so the Lange brand ceased to exist, and until 1994 when the rebirth of the brand had to wait to the next Lange in-house movement which name was Lange 1. So the Q1 28 movement became historical.
