For a little of history: In 1830 in Milan, the "Società per la fabbricazione delle porcellane lombarde" was built by the company Gindrand, that was then sold in 1833 to the Nob. Luigi Tinelli, who founded the "San Cristoforo" factory. Giulio Richard, Piedmontese of Swiss origin (Nyon), arrives in Milan on 23 May 1842 and take over the pottery and porcelain factory of Louis Talbot. The enterprising Richard has big ideas for the small factory, thus from the ovens of the plant begin to produce not only valuable artefacts, intended to embellish the parlours of rich ladies, but also pottery for everyday use. The Società Ceramica Richard was established by its founder Giulio Richard on 23 February 1873, based in Milan and with the plants of S. Cristoforo. In 1887 he bought the plant of Palme family of Pisa and the storage of goods in S. Giovanni a Teduccio (Naples) to serve the southern provinces. On 11 October 1896 the Società Ceramica Richard acquires the Manufactory of the Ginori marquesses. Thus the Richard-Ginori brand was born. The set will be shipped, prior protective packaging, with tracking code.
