It was ridden by the seller’s grandmother in her youth!
The main feature of the Royal Roadster is the 3-speed Sturmey Archer gear on the rear wheel hub: the absence of the “derailleur” allows to hide all the chain inside the carter, which presents a small “window” to check the chain and its proper functioning.
The bike is characterised by “rod brakes” and a diamond-shaped frame that takes advantage of the non-deformability of the double triangle figure.
Elegance, vintage style, and English mastery make this Raleigh Royal Roadster a real jewel.
