The Certina DS was an extraordinary watch that stored watch sensors as groundbreaking in its design as well as its design. Soon after Certina had been successful, Certina DS-2 was designed in 1966 and ready to be launched in 1968 and soon became the successor to Certina DS. Together with Certina DS-2, the Certina DS-2 PH 200M was presented with the DS-2 professional dive line. The watch professional dive watches came in two versions. One was waterproof down to 200 meters and the other to 500 meters. Certina DS-2 PH 500M has successfully used in the TEKTITE I & II experiments in 1969 and again in 1970.
