The first with a mosaic is 44 cm long, 34 cm wide and 3.5 cm deep. Handles width 7 x 2 cm
Great to exhibit or carry bottles or food.
The wood was always kept well and polished. The lower part is in wood. Nice play of colour on the mosaic in beige, grey and light ochre with a dark green star at the centre. One tray, in form and style, is similar to the Louis Philippe style of trays in carved wood or embellished by glass or majolica.
The second tray is typical of the 1930s and has small handles in brass that darkened over time. Length 54 cm, width 34 cm, depth 3 cm. The bottom is in blue felt, similar to the colour of a tile. The tiles alternate between light ochre and powder sky blue.
The third is completely in wood, shows signs of time, is rectangular with handles at the sides and measures 50 x 32 x H 3 cm, I intentionally didn’t restore it, nice to keep on a base with bottles for that vintage flavor.
The fourth and fifth are in brass. I left the dark patina that formed over the years since the early 20th century. If you wish you can polish it but I left it original by simply cleaning it. The large tray is very imposing it weighs almost 5 kg and is made of solid brass it measures 49 cm by 39 cm and 3 the edge slopes down. I cleaned it in my house but never polished it like new the fifth is also in brass. It shows signs of time. It measures 29 cm by 29 cm. This tray also has not been polished. The large brass tray is so beautiful that I used it as coffe table on an X shaped base. Given its size it can be placed in a living room corner with a light and other items or bottles.
I would say it’s from the late 19th century, very early 20th century.
Nice to use to carry food or furniture in a home in the city or countryside. They can both be washed. The tiles measure 10 cm by 10 cm.
